Over the course of one spring season, this film follows the movements of the various creatures that make their homes in the hollows of tree trunks year after year.

From the black woodpecker creating a new hole to a family of young owls learning to fly or the relocation of a group of martens, a varied web of life is woven in front of our eyes.
From hollow to hollow, each inhabitant has to survive in harmony with its neighbours. Predators and prey live in close proximity for better or for worse…
